1

Complete Tutorial Quests First

When you first start Heartopia, focus on completing the tutorial quests. These introduce you to the game's core mechanics and unlock essential features like your first hobbies (Fishing and Gardening).

💡 Pro Tip: The tutorial may feel long, but it gets better after DG Level 5. Stick with it — the freedom opens up significantly after this point.
2

Redeem All Free Codes Immediately

Before doing anything else, redeem all active codes to get free Moonlight Crystals, Wishing Stars, and Gold. These resources give you a huge head start.

How to redeem: Press TAB (PC) or tap the watch icon → Settings → Redeem Code

3

Focus on DG Level Progression

Your DG (Developer Grade) Level is the main progression system. Higher DG unlocks new hobbies, features, furniture, and story content.

How to Level Up DG Fast:

  • • Complete 5 daily resident requests (up to 50 Contribution Medals/day)
  • • Progress through main story quests
  • • Talk to the mayor, Atara, to unlock resident quests
⚠️ Important: DG levels are time-gated — you can only level up so much each day. Focus on consistency, not rushing.
4

Unlock Cooking as Your Third Hobby

At DG Level 6, you'll receive a Hobby Expansion Ticket. You can choose between Cooking, Insect Catching, or Birdwatching. Always pick Cooking first!

Why Cooking?

  • ✅ Best money-making hobby (process fruits into jam for huge profits)
  • ✅ Synergizes with Fishing and Gardening you already have
  • ✅ Cooked dishes restore more energy than raw food

How to unlock: Talk to Massimo at his café in town center and use your Hobby Expansion Ticket.

5

Never Sell Raw Materials — Process First!

This is the #1 money-making secret in Heartopia. Always cook raw ingredients before selling them.

Example: Blueberry Jam Profit

4× Blueberry (raw) 64 Gold
1× Blueberry Jam (cooked) 170 Gold
Profit +106 Gold

Exception: High-value fish (100+ Gold) are better sold raw. Only cook common catches.

6

Manage Your Energy Wisely

Energy is consumed when using tools (fishing, chopping, digging). Walking, building, and socializing are free. Below 20 energy, you can't run.

How to Restore Energy:

  • 🍽️ Eat cooked food — instant energy boost
  • 🛏️ Sleep in bed — log out while sleeping for full restore on next login
  • 🛁 Take a bath — hot springs restore 1 energy per 10 seconds
7

Gather Resources Daily

Make a habit of collecting resources every day. You'll need them for crafting, quests, and cooking.

Daily Gather Checklist:
  • 🌲 Wood, Stone, Branches
  • 🫐 Berries, Fruits, Mushrooms
  • 🌳 Roaming Oak Timber (rare, limited)
  • 💎 Flawless Fluorite (rare, limited)
8

Claim All Free Rewards

Heartopia gives away lots of free stuff. Make sure you're claiming everything!

  • 📬 Check your Mailbox regularly (in front of your house)
  • 📅 Daily login rewards
  • 🎁 Launch event rewards
  • 🏆 Gilded Acorn Exhibition rewards
  • 🔗 Rewards for linking social accounts
9

Use Vehicles & Fast Travel

Walking is peaceful, but vehicles make questing much faster. Use the scooter or sedan to save time.

Tip: Check your launch rewards — you may have a free white sedan waiting to be claimed!

10

Take Your Time — It's a Cozy Game!

Heartopia is designed for slow, relaxed gameplay. There's no pressure to rush. Enjoy building your home, chatting with NPCs, and exploring at your own pace.
