Timber
Basic wood from common trees for early building work.
Material location guide
When a blueprint asks for Rare Timber, look for large, thick-trunk trees along the outer roads around residential home plots. Do not spend the route chopping every forest tree, and do not substitute Roaming Oak Timber.

Match the exact recipe name
These materials occupy separate inventory entries. A recipe that asks for one cannot be completed with another.

Basic wood from common trees for early building work.

A separate higher-grade wood that does not replace Rare Timber.

The target here: gather it from large, thick trees near residential roads.

A different item tied to Roaming Oak and its own unlock route.
A repeatable search pattern
Use a residential waypoint, then move toward the outside road rather than the town center or a random forest path.
Follow the road around the residential plots in one direction. Scan corners, small rises, and the edges of each home zone so you do not double back.
The useful trees are noticeably larger than ordinary trees. If a tree only gives Timber or Quality Timber, move on instead of repeatedly farming the same tree type.
Read the item name in the pickup message or inventory. The wood icons look similar at a glance, but the recipe requires the exact Rare Timber entry.
Fix the route, not just the symptom
| What happens | Check this first | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Only Timber drops | You are chopping common trees | Skip smaller trees and scan for the larger trees close to the outer road. |
| Only Quality Timber drops | You are targeting another tree type | Return to the residential loop and check the thick trees near zone corners. |
| The route is empty | Nodes may already be gathered | Complete the full road loop, then check again after the next reset. |
| You are hunting Oak-Oak | You are following a different material route | Read the blueprint name. If it says Rare Timber, use the large-tree route instead. |
| The count does not increase | Inventory space or item-name confusion | Clear a slot and compare the pickup icon with the material cards above. |
Check your next workbench or housing plan before selling. Rare Timber can become the material that pauses a larger build.
Write down the exact wood name and required amount before farming. This prevents a full loop for Quality or Roaming Oak Timber that your recipe cannot use.
Code rewards change over time. Check the live codes page for current Rare Timber rewards, but keep the gathering route as your reliable plan.
Check active Heartopia codes →Travel to the residential area and follow the outer roads around the home plots. Look for large, thick-trunk trees near corners, slopes, and zone edges, then confirm the item name after chopping.
No. They are separate inventory items. Rare Timber comes from large trees; Roaming Oak Timber is connected to Roaming Oak and has a different acquisition route.
You are probably chopping another tree type. Leave the general forest route, follow the roads around the residential plots, and prioritize the noticeably larger thick-trunk trees.
If a previously useful node is empty, check it again after the server reset. Resource timing can change between versions, so a repeatable area loop is more useful than relying on one remembered tree.
