Numbered Musical Notation (1-7)
Heartopia uses the numbered notation system (Jianpu), which is very common in Asian music games. It corresponds to the C Major scale.
π‘ Auto-Play Mode
Don't want to play manually? Unlock a Sheet Music item, sit at your piano, select the song from the menu, and your character will play it automatically! This is great for taking screenshots or videos.

β Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play my own songs?
Yes! Just tap the keys manually. Many players look up "Numbered Notation" (Jianpu) for pop songs to play them in Heartopia.
How do I change the instrument sound?
The sound depends on the furniture you are using. A Piano sounds like a piano, a Guitar sounds like a guitar. You can buy different instruments to change the sound.
Where can I find Heartopia lute music sheets?
Start with the easy numbered notation examples above, then unlock in-game scores through Vernie's music quest and Annie's shop. For community-made sheets, check that the notation uses Heartopia's 1-7 system before copying it.
Can I download a Heartopia music sheet PDF?
There is no official PDF download here. You can print this page to PDF for personal reference, or copy the notation into your own sheet.
What are the basic instrument controls?
Equip or sit at an instrument, open the play interface, then tap the numbered notes manually. If you own a score item, select it from the music menu for auto-play.
Can friends hear me play?
Yes! If you invite friends to your home (or play in public areas), they can hear your performance in real-time.
