- 1. Open the live event route.
Reach the Call of Whales entry requirement and travel to Whalefall Canyon. - 2. Complete the dolphin introduction.
Follow the dolphin investigation or Rory prompt before attempting to feed the group. - 3. Search the canyon event area.
Use the active quest guidance or animal marker. The official announcement confirms Whalefall Canyon but does not publish a fixed coordinate. - 4. Approach and use the live interaction prompt.
Feed or interact when the prompt appears, then check group familiarity in the event interface.
Feeding guide
Dolphin Favorite Food
Bring Sea Bass, Sardine, or Scad. All three are Level 1 common fish available in every weather and time period, so you can prepare them before entering Whalefall Canyon.
Preferred weather: Sunny. This is an interaction preference, not a confirmed spawn gate. Use the active quest marker even when the weather is different.
No favorite response? Confirm the exact fish name, finish the dolphin introduction, check that today's interaction is available, and inspect the Familiarity panel after feeding. A missing animation alone does not prove the item failed.

Step 1
Feed and interact
Bring Sea Bass, Sardine, or Scad, then use the available feed interaction. Check the Familiarity panel after feeding instead of relying only on the reaction animation.
Step 2
Raise group familiarity
Progress belongs to the visiting dolphin group. Check the event panel after interactions to confirm that familiarity increased.
Step 3
Reach Lv.4 first
Familiarity Level 4 unlocks Life Fragments. Dolphins may also visit and leave gifts at your Seamount underwater home.
After the visit: the official notice says Life Fragments may still be received after the dolphins leave. Unlocking the feature before the deadline is therefore the safest priority.

Troubleshooting
Why Dolphin Interaction Is Not Working
No feed or interaction prompt
Return to the live Call of Whales quest and finish the dolphin investigation or Rory introduction. Reload Whalefall Canyon after the step completes.
Dolphins are not visible
Confirm the server date, event access, and current quest state. Re-enter the canyon and follow the active marker rather than waiting for different weather.
Familiarity did not increase
Check that the introduction is complete and that the interaction was accepted by the event panel. Daily or prompt-based limits may apply.
No Seamount visit or gift
Visits are associated with the Seamount underwater home and familiarity progression; they should not be treated as a guaranteed result after every interaction.
